ongoing going-ons.

we've been up to some summery things lately:
sprinkler has been dusted off and used a few times in the backyard.

hot wheels colour changers are a favourite between the two boys. so the endless trips to fill up the bowls of water with warm and cold water happens many times over the course of an afternoon. it keeps them occupied for a while.

i've planted seeds in the garden box brendan has made. i left an open package of parsley seeds beside a big pot on our deck. i had already planted what i needed. ozzie thought he was being helpful and dumped the remaining seeds on top. i think we will be serving lots of tabbouleh salad over the summer.

miles has started t-ball. last year he was in blast-ball (1 base that honks) & if you asked him what his favourite part was he'd say snack time! he's only gone a couple of times so far and yes they still get a snack at the end of their game, but if you ask him, he'll tell you he really loves the batting part.  it's also a lot easier now that ozzie can walk. last year he couldn't. so now he just runs around and sort of stays out of trouble.

we've had bbq's with friends, gone to see fireworks, played at playgrounds galore, we're hiking new (to us) trails (where i obsessively search the forest floor for poison ivy), hope the wading pools open soon and leisurely hang out in our sun room drawing, play with lego or eat popsicles.

baby spiders all cute and gross at the same time.

colour shifters shifting colours.

happy.

garbage day.

a few weeks ago we signed up for a csa box and yesterday was our first pick up. i can not tell you how excited i am about this. the boys were too. we received lettuce, sunflower sprouts, romaine lettuce, radishes, cucumber, asparagus, potatoes, apples & shittake mushrooms. our fruit share was made up of strawberries, grapefruit, oranges, kiwi, bananas & mango. lots of good stuff going on here.

veggie haul.

fruit haul.

i've been doing some sewing here and there, as well. 4 quilt tops have also been made, but not photographed.

hope you are all doing summery things too.

brothers.

i love seeing these two play, talk and laugh together.
and i often catch myself thinking about the relationship these two will have when they're older.

one year.

it's been a year now, since we started taking ozzie to his physio and occupational therapies. a year.
wow. a year.
look:

i have lots of thoughts about this past year and i may write another post about that. most importantly, amazing progress. and there's still lots more to come. we are his biggest cheerleaders. #teamozzie

week five.

so the last week of ozzie's constraint therapy seemed to fly by. i'm a week late in updating. but anyways.
he's finished.
that's it.
and there is marked improvement.
amazing what the brain is capable of doing.

also: miles turned five over the weekend. five. cake party.

we're all smiles over here folks.
